Kingston Palaka
Kingston Palaka - Palaka is a Hawaiian take on plaid or tartan. The closest you can get to that in the Caribbean is a Rum cocktail with the Scotch Liqueur Drambuie. This Martin Cate take of an award winning cocktail has a unique flavor that takes Li Hing Mui powder ( a Hawaiian confectionary staple ) and the high proof Jamaican Rum via London, Smith & Cross to round out the main ingredients.
In a cocktail shaker of cracker ice add:
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1/8 Teaspoon Li Hing Mui Powder
1 oz Drambuie
1.5 oz Smith & Cross Jamaican Rum
Shake vigorously and strain into a fancy coupe. Garnish with lemon twist. Enjoy!
