For Pete’s Sake - This marks a very long pursued milestone I set for myself more than 2 years ago. This cocktail is a creation of the legendary Martin Cate of Smuggler’s Cove in San Francisco. This is the 119th cocktail from his book “Smuggler’s Cove - Exotic Cocktails, Rum and the Cult of Tiki”. For those who know me or have been following my blog for the last 2+ years could tell you that nearly half of my posts were from or derived from this book. I have learned so much and am grateful to so many. But, especially to Martin and Rebecca Cate for their inspiration and dedication to the pursuit of fun and tiki! Tiki on!

In a mixing tin of crushed ice add:

  • .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice

  • .5 oz Demerara Syrup

  • .5 oz Hibiscus Liqueur syrup

  • .5 oz Cherry Heering

  • 1.5 oz Viñas de Oro Pisco

  • 1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters

Flash blend and dirty pour into a Double Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a candied Hibiscus Flower and Luxardo Cherry on your coolest pick. Enjoy!
