Shanky’s Whippet!

Shanky’s Whippet! - Shanky’s is a “Black Irish Spirit” made with Irish Whiskey from County Cavan. Add Roos Roast Lobster Butter Love coffee and that is a wonderful “Hair of the Dog” for any Sunday morning! Now, if you add some homemade Sour Cream Banana Bread made with Shanky’s Whip you have a perfect morning in store! Here are both recipes so you can be happy and complete too!

Sour Cream Banana Bread:

  • 1 Stick of Land o Lakes butter softened at room temp

  • 1 cup of granulated cane sugar

  • 3 Large Eggs

  • 1.5 cups of King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda

  • 1.5 Cups of very ripe Chiquita Bananas

  • 2/3 Cups Sour Cream

  • 1/2 Cup Shanky’s Whip

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan; set aside. In an electric mixing bowl fitted with a paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, beat to incorporate.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Add the butter to the mixture, and mix until just combined. Add bananas, sour cream and Shanky’s Whip;stir to combine. Pour into pan

  3. Bake for 1 hour and 10-20 minutes. Test with a large bamboo skewer in the center of the bread until it comes out cleanly.. Let rest in pan after removing from oven for 10 minutes, then pop out and cool on a baking rack. Enjoy!

Shanky’s Whippet:

  • 8 oz of Roos Roast Lobster Butter Love coffee

  • 2.5 oz Shanky’s Whip

  • Top with Reddy Whip! Enjoy
